Or maybe someone just sincerely likes to play a video game to wind down and relax and competitive gaming is ... just about the opposite of that? And... yeah, most people are not good enough at games to keep up with the top players in competitive games, but I'm pretty sure not even a third of them will feel as judged as you wanted them to feel with this secret (assuming it's not a trolly secret.).

For me, it's not that I don't like competitive games, it's that there are no competitions for the games I like to play.

Your first sentence is basically me.

For me, gaming is my time to de-stress and isn't a social thing, so competing against or even involving other people kind of defeats the whole purpose.

yeah, this. plus, I like watching a story unwind. I almost exclusively play games that are interactive stories (preferably with a good reward system for the dopamine.), and when I'm done I usually don't even bother with the challenges that often come with them. My first favorite game was Kins Quest VII. There's just no way to play games like that competetively. It's the opposite of what they are in essence.
