I totally do this. I get pretty much all of my fashion inspiration from fiction. I like to choose colors and styles that certain characters wear. I don't think anyone would ever notice, because it's all "normal" clothing.

Have you seen those websites like Polyvore, where people make up outfits? There are loads of people making outfits inspired by fictional characters.
