Adulthood brings all sorts of uncomfortable realizations with it. I look forward to when the Twilight generation realizes what terrible taste they had.

Then again, they might become the new 50 Shades generation, or whatever's popular and terrible at the appropriate time.

No! No! You stop raining on my parade! The Twilight fans are going to grow up and realize how wrong they are and be like, 'OMG, we were soooo goofy back in the day lol.' And then they'll form a secret cabal to make sure no other such travesties ever become so popular and good books and literature will reign forever.

Some of them will, for sure. There's hope!

And hopefully the twi-haters will also realize how ridiculous their behavior was during the whole twi-craze was, as well.

I always felt in the middle of the two factions. I read the first two and found they were real page-turners, but then afterwards I kind of went "Wait...there are many problems with these books." So I can see why people like or dislike them.

Haters that go overboard are the worst though. I was in Harry Potter fandom online from around GOF release and shipped Harry/Hermione. Oh boy, the things people felt they could say to me just because they didn't agree with what I chose to ship. My line was always "I don't think this will happen in the books but I prefer the idea." but people woulds say horrible things. I understand some Harry/Hermione shippers were unbearable about it - I don't excuse that. But the rest of us copped it from some (only some, I know) of the R/Hr shippers who felt justified because their ship was canon.
