Assumptions about people's sexualities based on what they ship.

Like after the LoK finale (before too, but it got worse after) when "straight people" became a synonym for "Makorra shippers."

I have only very rarely met homosexual people who are homophobic. It really does tend to trend the other way.

But you're definitely right, I'll give you that.

In my experience it's not as rare as one would expect. Especially when you consider the way homophobia affects subgroups differently and how those groups end up fighting each other a lot.

Granted, that does happen, and I really have no way of knowing demographics of any particular website. On the other hand, a lot of the hatred seemed to be to the tune of "it can't happen because they can't be lesbians because [insert untrue lesbian stereotype here]".

To me that usually denotes an outsider, but who really knows, right. I could be dead wrong and just making my own assumptions because of general population statistics.
