(Anonymous) 2015-01-07 12:22 am (UTC)(link)Like, yeah, I'm attracted to him too, but those comments just make me uncomfortable. I sometimes add a comment in the tags, like "I love his hair in this scene", but only when he's In-Character. I wouldn't dream of stating that I want to touch him or breathe in his scent, like a lot of other people...
Rule of Thumb: Look at your comment before hitting publish. Would you be comfortable to discover that someone talked about you the same way? Would you be comfortable if someone talked about your father like that? No? Then don't hit publish.

I know that it's highly unlikely, and that these random people probably never WANT their celebrity crushes to know about their tumblrs, but still. It kinda skeeves me out.

I know the actor in question kept having fans groping his butt at photo opportunities (old and young alike, actually the old fans were worse). I was here to hear one fan ask at a Q&A "What are your preferences about pubic hair shaving?".
I'm afraid a lot of people who post sexual comments about actors on fan boards would totally say exactly the same to them in person, and think they were witty.
Telling them to think about what they would think if someone talked about their dad like that might work. Might.
