Most of those LJ problems can be fixed by users doing things differently. There's no easy user-fix for making Tumblr a good place for threaded discussion like what we have here and on LJ.

Exactly. When you get down to it one is a fundamentally better platform for fandom - but a lot depends on how people use it.

This is ultimately a pointless exercise, because not enough people are using LJ/DW period. Until the next mass fandom migration happens, we're stuck with Tumblr, and all this posturing about how much Tumblr sucks doesn't fix anything, except maybe your blood pressure.
