Various Raven Cycle fanfics. I'm rather ticked off at Maggie Stiefvater for the way she handles non-white and lgbt characters (and if I'm ticked off y'all know it's bad) and her lady boner for Irish/Welsh culture, but fanfic manages to fix all of that and make me happy.

But if she writes non-white and lgbt characters badly, that probably pisses off liberals. Can't you at least take pleasure in that? Maybe if you went out and looked for some people getting mad about it, that would help save it?

That's true, I guess I can take comfort in the fact that there are a bunch of liberals and SJWs taking her shitty writing and lack of self-awareness as evidence of their oppression.

But really, it seriously creates a subpar reading experience. She's talented enough that she could do better with those characters. I love her books and her writing, but now she's got this thing where she glorifies my religion and culture while hiding every other religion and culture behind the excuse of 'subtlety.' Really, we're going to bring up the one character's Irish heritage every five pages, but we're not going to get confirmation that another character is black because she wants to 'fancast whoever we want' or some shit like that? Her obvious love of Celtic culture is now bordering on creepy and the way she refuses to touch on any other culture is eye-brow raising at best.
