What are you, Buddha?
(Anonymous) 2015-01-11 10:55 pm (UTC)(link)Re: What are you, Buddha?
(Anonymous) 2015-01-11 11:06 pm (UTC)(link)I find it a little sad that asking for people to relax and live and let live about online fiction they don't like is like asking for world peace.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-11 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)"asking for people to relax and live and let live about
online fictionthings they don't like and disagree with"There, does it make more sense now?
AYRT
(Anonymous) 2015-01-12 01:07 am (UTC)(link)Little things like ships and AUs that you can easily ignore if you don't like.
I seem to be the only one taking this to be about that and not about rape fantasy fiction or something....
Whoops.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-12 03:02 am (UTC)(link)And I was under the impression that you couldn't see why asking for people to just relax and accept things they didn't like was as unrealistic as world peace. Your context was "online fiction", but the AYRT's comparison is valid because it's not "online fiction" that gets people mad, it's "I don't like/agree with this thing" which is basically why we can't ever have world peace, and why people with always find something to be angry about.
Where did I ever bring up rape fantasy fiction?

Except, you know, I do it every day I read fanfiction. I see a fic I don't like, move on. I see an AU I don't find interesting, move along. It's just what adults do. Someone on the internet shipping your NOtp , or writing a fic you have a bone to pick with really doesn't seem that big a deal in the scheme of things.
So yeah, I still don't see why asking people to act like the adults they are is like expecting world peace. Sorry.
