(Anonymous) 2015-01-17 06:51 am (UTC)(link)Good: The guys talking about how they're not going to rape Hermione (I forget her real name, sorry.) It's creepy but it's very realistic creepy and, though I hate to admit it, it's blunt about the dark side of men without being totally misandrist OR misogynistic about it.
Bad (even though I laughed at it): The Jonah Hill rape/possession scene. Yes, Jonah Hill was evil as fuck in this movie. Yes, we're talking about being raped by a demon, not a real person. Still, I cringed when I saw it. I think that was the point. I can't and won't turn off my humanity for a joke, but I still laughed through my cringing. I would have rather he get possessed without the rape or maybe even get possessed BECAUSE he was trying to commit a rape. But the long story short is that the joke was on the victim and that's awful.
