The idea of a human anus self lubricating and literally shitting out babies just is so absurd to me...I don't understand why that's 'cute/hot'. It just makes me think of a prolapse, which is horrifying.

It is actually a thing. It's called a cloaca.

cloaca: a common cavity at the end of the digestive tract for the release of both excretory and genital products in vertebrates (except most mammals) and certain invertebrates. Specifically, the cloaca is present in birds, reptiles, amphibians, most fish, and monotremes.

Sharks, for example, will both excrete waste and give birth to live pups through the same hole.
