These may not be my favorite paintings evet, but they are two I make a point of seeing when I go to the local art museum:

The whole thing is incredibly photo-realistic. They have glass over it because people are always getting their faces up in there trying to look for brush strokes.

I don't know why I love this but I do. I think it's because I want that work space, stuffed alligator and all. (That gallery was closed last time I went.)
