From my experience getting called for jury duty, say that you have an intellectual or moral conflict with their instructions that you don't believe you could resolve, and they'll let you off, as long as you seem even remotely sincere.

Maybe that won't work in your state, I don't know! But I wouldn't sweat it too much. Hey, who knows, maybe they won't even call you!
