After the way that episode ended, I seriously doubt he has any chance with Abbie.

That said, Sleepy Hollow has made a lot of questionable decisions so it isn't like that would be the first.

(TBH I'd have rather no angels at all...I got tired of them on SPN back in the day, so I hope SH keeps just the one.)

While this is true, I highly doubt we've seen the end of the Angel. Moreover I predict that there will be a false change of heart from the Angel, tricking Abby and either Hawley or Crane will have to come to her rescue, and ... yeah.

I imagine you're right; he isn't just showing up the once, at some point Abbie is going to use the ring and it'll probably bite her in the ass. I'd rather Abbie rescue herself (God knows she's more capable than anyone else on the show), but I am fine with a rescue as long as it doesn't turn into a weekly occurrence. (Maybe Jenny can team up with Ichabod to rescue her.)

Yea, I don't think his screentime is up either; his story is clearly unfinished, it would be odd to not mention him again. He'll show up again, probably cause some trouble, maybe fuck around with Abbie's head, but I still doubt it'll become romantic or sexual. (I suppose it could be on his part? But even if they went there, I can't see Abbie reciprocating. The situation is too messed up.)

Abbie not mentioning the ring is probably going to cause trouble...

OP here. Would you care for a chill pill? I have no ships in this fandom, but you'd have to be blind to see that this is how the show is playing it. Note that there's no judgment in that statement of whether or not breaking one's marriage vows is right or wrong, I'm just saying that the show is very conspicuously putting stresses on ALL the relationships here, platonic or romantic and Ichabod and Abbie's is one of them. Whether or not you see their relationship as close friendship or potential romance doesn't matter in this situation, it's an understanding of how the writing builds tension in terms of character conflict.

Oh, and by the way? People who get their knickers in a knot over a fictional marriage sound every bit as crazy as the Ichabbie shippers.
