i'm so tired of who should bone who being the biggest thing people care about

maybe it's a failing of society to place emphasis on other types of relationships because i'm at a loss why so many people care about their precious ships

Heh -- I'll admit that my interest in shipping largely stems from the fact that the more popular my ship is, the more and better porn I can find of it

I can't watch visual porn (it does exactly 0 for me) and I find most romance novels AWFUL (plus you have to pay…), so fan fiction (and, by extension, shipping) is basically my source of porn.

I actually feel very similar. I mean, porn is cool and all, but I way prefer my fic to be platonic, or at most, pg13. I know this isn't the majority of fic readers, so it's good that they have plenty of the stuff they want to read, but sometimes it can be hard to find good genfic without overt shipping or sex.

How I WISH it was more about who bones who. It's actually not that easy to find stories about casual sex. It's all about true love and feelings and OTP.
