I like Kiki's Delivery Service but man does it make me sad to think that, had I been in her position, I'd have cried and begged my parents not to make me go away for a year with no guarantee of lodgings or even food.

I'm one of those assholes who hates female characters for getting in the way of my slash ships.

I get that it's wrong, but I feel like I'm justified at the same time because I find that I basically only end up hating them when the clear emotional relationship is between two guys while the female character has no real development or purpose outside the romance.

I quite enjoy Steve/Peggy, for example, because I think Peggy actually got even more screen time than Bucky in The First Avenger and she also had her own story that made her interesting.

But for someone like Tauriel, well, she's basically there to be a love interest. And that's it. And so I don't like her.

Or Sharon Carter (although I'm *trying* to reserve judgement here) -- but after making The Winter Soldier all about Steve's feels for dudes, I'm just kind of bitter at her presence because it seems like it's going to be yet another boring, generic romance that's put in because Marvel's decided THERE MUST ALWAYS BE A LOVE INTEREST. Even though The Winter Soldier functioned just fine without a romance. And even though the audience is already WAY more invested in Steve's relationships with other characters and I'd rather not have to deal with Sharon at all.

One of my friends claims one of the actors* in one of her fandoms said in an interview that he wants a slash ship with him and another guy to actually happen on the show, and she's convinced it's going to happen. I just want to tell her to stop being an idiot because even if he did say that (and I highly doubt he did) he didn't mean it and there's no way it will actually happen.

*I can't remember the dude's name and she always refers to him as "her man". Ugh.

I keep finding characters that I love and want to hug and wish were my little brother... and then realizing that if I were still a teenager, they'd be my type and I'd be crushing on them. I don't feel so weird about it when they're book or cartoon characters, but now there's one who's played by a real person and I feel like a creep.

Have a secret that I won't be making because a.) yep, I'm lazy and b.) it would be blatantly obvious it was me.

I have this horrible dread that at some point down the line, I'm inevitably going to have to see Mike Trout wearing pinstripes and I am NOT OKAY WITH THAT. I mean it's better than red hosiery, but only marginally. D:

Oh and an Angels B!S: I keep thinking that Channing Tatum's look in the Jupiter Ascending trailer makes him look uncannily like Kole Calhoun.

It's okay. The Angels are a large-market team. They can afford him. And as long as they stay remotely competitive they can probably keep him out there. Don't worry.

On the other hand, he is from New Jersey...

Going to be weird as hell watching Pablo Sandoval on the Red Sox next year, as a Giants fan.

Mr. Tatum looks better, in my opinion. I almost thought you were making an "Angel" secret (from the tv show. I thought you were referencing a character from Wolfram and Hart. Or something lol)

I'm really excited about Durarara! x2, but when I see Kida with Saki I remember how much I hated Saki in the original for breaking up my OT3 at the end. She's the only character I ever hated in anything for getting in the way, and the fact that she was hardly a character at all made it worse. I'm super not looking forward to seeing her get a personality and screentime. Especially not if she's going to be someone I would have liked if she'd been introduced like that in the last series, instead of as this cardboard cutout we're supposed to believe one of the main characters cares so much about for some unexplained reason.

(I don't know how obvious it is, but I'm anime only. Don't know anything about the novels.)

I don't even remember who she is, that's how much of an impression she didn't make.

maybe it's a failing of society to place emphasis on other types of relationships because i'm at a loss why so many people care about their precious ships

I can't get into the Sailor Moon manga. I love the anime and PGSM, but I can't do the manga. Usually I love reading manga, and I almost always prefer the manga to the anime, so the fact that I just can't get into it makes me not feel like as much of a Sailor Moon fan as I could be.

The older I get, the less and less I like anime. I'm scared to tell my friends.

Every time I watch John Oliver being interviewed I just want to cuddle him like you wouldn't believe.

As an actual lesbian, I really hate this "femslash solves everything" trend. It feels patronizing at best, fetishizing at worst.

Not much of "too lazy" but just- it's too unimportant to make an actual secret out of it:

I don't really care about Krem in Dragon Age:Inquisition. I appreciate that a trans character exists in a game like that but no, I'm not particularly interested in asking him all those personal questions about his trans-status. It's not that I dislike him or anything, it's just that to me, he's still just another random NPC and I have a hard time caring for random NPCs in games.

Never would say that out loud because how dare you not worship the ground (or chair) Krem stands on you transphobic asshole!
