HAVE YOU NEVER READ THE MANGA?! IT'S THE USAGI SHOW. PEOPLE WANTED A MANGA ADAPTATION. WELL, YOU GOT ONE. UUUGGGGHHHH

Anywho, I do wish we had more character development and that the Black Moon arc wasn't with the Dark Kingdom one. Though I am enjoying it for what it is. If I want full on character growth, I just watch the older version on Hulu, which I am doing right now.

This show doesn't ruin Sailor Moon as Sailor Moon, the manga series and the old anime HAVEN'T GONE ANYWHERE. Stick with that, jesus.

I don't know, I think all the people going on and on about how Sailor Moon is RUINED FOREVER are equally ridiculous.

And, for the record, I have no dog in this fight. I've never been a Sailor Moon fan.

The manga is the Usagi show, yeah. But to act like Crystal is a panel-for-panel adaptation of the manga at this point is ridiculous.

Crystal's actually cut out a lot of material at this point, added in the Shitenou mirakuru romansu bullshit, and pretty wildly rewritten Usagi from caring dumbass to selfish love-bot. The scouts have spent a huge portion of their screentime collapsed on the floor and almost all of their cutesy friend scenes and badass fight scenes from the manga were cut entirely, or rewritten so the scouts are extra useless. Usagi might be the focus in the manga, and the senshi definitely are bland, but they at least have some vague characteristics beyond 'friend of Usagi.'
