I can't see Coulson with any of the "kids" tbh. It seems pretty creepy to me, but I'm not going to begrudge people who ship it as long as, y'know, I don't have to hear about it. There's another pairing in the fandom that's far more obnoxious, IMO.

Then again, the idea of May/Ward was also kind of creepy to me, so there you go, I guess. At least that one's well and truly over.

I feel you. Along with the whole "paternal figure" thing there's also an automatic power imbalance that comes with pairing off Coulson with any of the"kids" on the bus (age, seniority, rank, etc.) Some people do have a kink for that however, so I kind of get why they might like it.
