Re: Dragon Age Inquisition thread

Yeah I don't know what's up with Solas yet, but I have heard that his romance "makes sense for the story" or something.

I honestly wish they had made everyone bisexual again. While I applaud them trying to be "serious" with LGBT representation, it just seems to me that in an RPG people should be able to play their story however they like and romance whoever. Maybe one gender could be more difficult than another but still.

As I said, the race-lock makes sense for him, the gender-lock really, really doesn't (like, of all the characters with a gender-lock, it makes the least sense with him. Or rather, none at all.).

I agree. I totally get what they were going for, but it was all good intentions but "well meant" is not necessarily the same as "well executed". I would have been cool with "one gender-lock for every sexuality" and have everyone else be game-bisexual because damn it, there's time travel and demons and magic, it doesn't have to be realistic in the romance department. Especially since, in my opinion, the way the sexualities were handled was not done very thoughtfully. Or maybe too thoughfully so much that it seemed like a parody rather than a real thought out matter.

It's not like the LI's would obviously all be bisexual - at least you wouldn't notice it ingame because you play the game with one character/gender at a time.
