Ooooh yeah. There's a bit of that whole "omg my life is about to drastically change and what if I'm a bad mother oh noooooes" jitters thing going on, but it's something I've wanted for a while, so it's definitely something I'm happy and excited about!

Congratulations! (Since you seem happy.) :)

One word of advice - don't let random people (including family) tell you 'birth' stories. Most of them, for so fucked up reason, want to tell really horrible ones about how they were in labor for five days and almost died or whatever. It's...bizarre.

And, just to offset that - I was in labor for about six hours and had mine at home, no drugs. So don't believe the horror hype!

Oh man...I actually had some people start sharing horrible birth stories back when I mentioned that I was just thinking of having a kid. o.O It really is quite bizarre.

My cousin-in-law, however, loved being pregnant and had a very easy delivery, so I figure if I'm ever feeling like I'm getting bombarded with too much negative information, I can always hit her up and be like, "remind me how awesome this is!"
