It's the literal meaning of "Lucifer". So "Lucifer Morningstar" is basically "Morningstar Morningstar", lol.

Enh, it's another translation of 'Lucifer.' Also apparently the character from DC comics goes by Lucifer Morningstar, which is probably where I got it. (Which I'm kinda embarrassed about; you'd think I'd be more knowledgeable.)

Damien is a really common name in some places. I'm Australian and I know several guys with this name, most of them younger than The Omen.

Apparently I'm a dumbass and there actually isn't any negative association with Damien, with the exception of it being the name of the Antichrist in the movie The Omen. Serves me right for not doing my research first.

One of my former tech guys named one of his three sons Damien and he was the kindest and sweetest of the three. Other than the Omen movies, there isn't any demonic connection with that name; it means "to tame". So, I'm not sure why his being named Damien would be shocking. (And I've had a handful of Damien/Damians in my years working in a school.)

Enh, it wasn't SHOCKING so much as thematically appropriate. And now that I think of it, I'm not really sure WHY I associated Damien with anything bad; I haven't even SEEN those stupid movies.
