Which leaves stuff like CC and MsScribe, but I feel like fandom is too widespread these days to get the same kind of following wankers like that had.
It's a real pity, FW was great to catch up on drama happening in other fandoms. :(

(Anonymous) 2015-01-31 03:10 am (UTC)(link)The SJW stuff might not have helped, idk. But it seems like FW declined at the same time as fans began migrating. I'd say move FW to Tumblr too, but like 75% of the fun for me was reading the wonderfully funny comments.

That and fandom culture has moved away from "Look at this! Isn't it funny?" and toward "Look at this! Isn't it terrible?" Spreading these things around is less like sharing a joke and more like PSAs about people to avoid. Which goes back to what hwc said about "PCness" but I think people like MRAs can be basically the same about being motivated by a sense of righteousness rather than the lulz.

I haven't been on fw_r in ages, but when I still checked it most reports about stuff going on on tumblr had someone question the ages of the participants. It's just a lot harder to check on tumblr, and the reblogging style doesn't lend itself to wank reports.
