I mean, I understand wanderlust, the lure of wild places, the desire to get away from people, all of that. I kind of get the whole 'going back to nature to find a purer self' thing. But ... why do you have to die to do it? I mean, why does that add to the mystique? Man vs nature, nature wins, that's not exactly unusual or noteworthy, I'd have thought.
Okay. Pursuing a dream to the point you're willing to die for it. Kind of get why that's admirable, in a tragic sort of way. But ... he wasn't. He didn't want to die for the dream. He just got it wrong and couldn't get help in time. That's not the same thing.
I don't this at all, I think. Sorry, rambling. I'll stop now.
