Lol. Some post on tumblr about it being really fucked up? Lots of genocide, galactic wars, hella body horror, super dark, lots of death, and whatnot. I love stuff like that but I wasn't a fan when I was a kid? I read the the second book (where Rachel becomes a cat because I liked girls turning into cats when I was a kid) but it didn't really like it enough to continue. Anyway, so I saw that post on tumblr and I was like "hmmmm. i'd like to be a woman in her late twenties flailing about a book series for 10 year olds." And, thus, my obsession with Animorphs began.

I'm reading it with my friend (she's read them) and it makes it more fun because we headcanon with each other and squee about Marco. (He's our fave.)
