Lazy Sunday

So guess who just reorganized and cleaned up the tags on their entire MP3 collection? It was me. Because that's just the thrilling rock and roll lifestyle that I lead.

What are you all up to on this [fine/rainy/snowy/foggy/miserable/muggy/sunny] [day/night]? (delete as appropriate)

I should probably do that...I keep meaning to organize and sort my gifs better. They're just random file names with occasional tags for those I like.

Re: Lazy Sunday

The most I'm willing to do with gifs and images is to throw them into subfolders based on very rough categories

any more than that and I just lose all semblance of caring

We cooked a delicious lunch for my mom (fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans). And now I am watching Big Trouble, in Little China after playing with my nephew for an hour.

!!!! Everything about that sounds awesome! How was the chicken? and how are you liking the movie?

I'm drawing a teapot while listening to Shostakovich's Waltz no 2. Or rather, I WAS drawing a teapot, but then f!s updated.

I've decided I've had it with my current apt (my landlady makes too much noise) and that I'm breaking my lease. Spent the morning looking at new ones and I'm feeling so pumped.

I've got one more I'm looking at in an hour. Since there's one I already saw that I liked this morning, hopefully I'll have a deposit in before the end of the day.

I always mean to organize my mp3s but then I find something else to organize. My DVD collection is alphabetized because otherwise I'd never be able to find what I own.

It's cold and rainy here so a friend and I went to a charity signing for a hockey player. I've definitely spent the last year meeting tons of awesome celebrities and they're all super sweet.

I love organising stuff! Thinking up new ways to organise things and new things to organise is soothing to me idk.

I'm as sick as a bug this morning, or maybe even two bugs, but I'm going to meet some friends who I've missed a lot since my semester ended last year and there is no way I'm cancelling that to crawl back into bed. So I'm just going to take some painkillers and go.

I should try to start a new writing project. Instead I'm tempted to open up my firefox bookmarks and sort 'em out. woo, exciting.

Just had a late lunch, and I'm about to settle in for some My Little Pony custom sculpting. Nothing exciting, just filling in holes and making a 'boy' muzzle.

I don't organize my mp3 collection, but I do add lyrics to all the songs. I've done about 85% of the rock/pop/folk (many of the remaining songs I'm having to transcribe myself) and 15% of the soundtracks.

I'm seeing a musical tonight. And it's my mom's birthday tomorrow.

I finished up Borderlands finally and have moved on to System Shock, the original. More specifically I'm using a repackaged edition called System Shock Portable, which due to a long-standing issue with ownership of the IP, is probably the closest thing we're going to get to a gog.com release. Fortunately the game is considered abandonware (its sequel, however, is not, and I'm guessing it's for that reason that SS2's equally long-standing IP issue was sorted out so they can sell it on gog.com and Steam and get more money.)

The repackaged SS1 is kind of amazing. It fixes a lot of long-standing issues with the game, namely the lack of true mouselook (you can turn it on or off as needed, which is good because you have to manually move items into your inventory by dragging them to the bottom of the screen) and limited choice of resolutions, as well as the original email/log texts from the floppy disk not matching the voice acting that was added in the CD-ROM version. The only thing it doesn't fix is the music still sounds like Front 242 after a head injury, but whatever, I turn that shit down and play remixed versions of the music instead, changing the track as needed via media keys.

Worked for 8 hours with something that my dad has recruited me to do for his work place. It's something that will really help out a good cause and I get paid quite good money, but it's just terribly boring and seemingly never-ending. And I could've really needed to use this weekend to relax as this means I now have two jobs with school on top of it, which is really stressing me out.

But I'm done with this on the 28th no matter what, so I just have to hold out and regain my weekends then.

Whoops, this turned into a small rant it seems.

I was up until 4AM because of my flight's dom push. Plus it is snowing again so I couldn't go anywhere. So I watched some Buffy and then took a nap that I just woke up from.

I made a crock pot of spaghetti sauce and then spent several hours shoveling out my back gate and digging a path from the gate to my oil tank. Wild times!

Today has been a strange, magical day.

I've been dealing with minor vertigo for days now, which has kinda put a damper on the writeathon I'm throwing. (Since it's mostly affecting my ability to read, write, and process big chunks of text. Uncool.)

However, today I got a call from a therapist I know down in Texas, telling me that I helped inspire a healthy multiples' group down there. She also ordered eighty of our comics and discussed us maybe coming down to do a talk or something. AWESOME!

Also today, I have just gotten contacted by a reporter asking to interview us about Andy Blake.

It has been a helluva interesting day, let me tell you.

Closing down. It's so slow I could probably crawl to my to-do's and still get them done on time. This shift wasn't so bad since we did have some live music and spoken word (as hit or miss as that can be).

I was having a lazy, if chore-filled, Sunday. Then around lunch I found out my aunt has cancer, and it kinda sent me into a comatose-like shock state. Just came out of it, in time for bed...
