That Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the US. And that Puerto Ricans are naturally born Americans.

I read on a message board the other day describing Puerto Ricans as being, "practically American." Yes, I corrected that person.

But that wasn't the first time I came across someone like that. I've told people that I am Puerto Rican and I was born there. They have told me that I was lucky my dad was American. (He's Irish-American.) That way I didn't have a hard time becoming a citizen. *narrows eyes* Nope, pal, Mom's American too. Just an American of Puerto Rican heritage.
