I wish my cats would die. Another family member got them and I can't stand them. They are messy and assholes. Bitey, scratchy animals suck.

The family member who brought home pets obviously has a bigger say in how the household is run than you. If you don't like it, move out and you can decide who or what gets to live with you. If you're going to stay, then try to fake some decency towards the people you're mooching off of by not wishing death on their pets.

If another family member got them, they're not "your" cats. If you live with that person, tell them how you feel and ask them to keep the cats away from you. If they're a good owner, they'll listen to you. My family always kept our cats away from guests we knew didn't like them.

On the other hand, if you say they're yours because the family member gave the cats to you, then take them to a shelter.
