Some ground rules:

Rumiko's newest manga is finally getting an anime adaption. Rin-ne is essentially just a red haired male Ranma (Without the personality...lol) so that might bring some life back into her older work. Maybe.

Not...really. It's like Ranma 1/2 mixed with Inuyasha, especially the characters. Only they're boring. The main character, Sakura, she does nothing. She reacts to nothing. She barely shows any emotion. And Rin-ne is like Ranma if he was on ritilin.

No.

It's the same core cast of characters (main boy, main girl, chibi mascot) only now it's twice as stale after Ranma and InuYasha, though comparing it to them is a disservice to the two. The characters are awful and bland, I had to quit after volume 3.

I barely trust ANN because their reviews are so gushing and uncritical 9/10 times but the first review I looked up of Rin-ne says this:

Do you ever get the feeling that the mangaka has just sort of stopped trying?
