Nope. This is a lose/lose situation. Net neutrality passed, so now the federal government has the power to pass a bunch of new laws and implement new regulations on private businesses and their products and services. All in the name of the 'public interest.'

If net neutrality had not passed, then big business would have had the power to manipulate what I could and could not view on the internet.

Like I said, lose/lose. But everything stayed the same, so we can keep on keepin' on.

this illustrates pretty well the way I think of myself as a libertarian (I use the word loosely at this point but idk what else I'd say?). I don't like the idea of corporate business OR the government having too much power over anything. it's important to have balances across the public/private line.

Someone pointed out that if the ISPs had just been a little less greedy and left this alone in the first place, net neutrality would never have needed to be formally enforced and opened the door to more government regulation. But nooo.
