Writing, making icons, crocheting something mindless while watching a fun show, managing to find really REALLY good fic...

Also this post came across my dash. It was nice and happy:

lol my reaction to that post: "aww, that's sweet... omg 'the greatest gift and honor...' ;_;" and then some other favorite moments.

I should definitely get back to knitting and crocheting more. I always feel good about producing something that I can actually use.

TBH I have a love/hate relationship with crocheting. On the one hand, it keeps me productive while I watch something. On the other hand, the only thing I can make without total concentration are scarfs. And I have a fuckton of scarfs.

I really want to make more amigurumi, but the stitches in their patterns are constantly changing. It's impossible to multitask.

I can only mindlessly knit. Crocheting is a lot harder for me and needs more of my concentration, and I always have to be looking at what I'm doing unlike when I'm knitting. I tend to save crocheting for making presents for special occasions.

I'm the opposite... maybe?

I can knit, but I've been crocheting for way longer, it's way more natural, etc. But if I'm doing a straight garter stitch for a scarf or something, I can CLOSE MY EYES and still knit a successful row, which is more than I can do with crochet.

I know this for a fact because I knit myself a full length Doctor Who scarf, and I'd be able to work on it during band trips on the bus when there were no lights whatsoever. Of course, I was so paranoid about dropping stitches, that I still didn't get much done. I was always doublechecking and re-doublechecking with my phone.
