(Anonymous) 2015-03-01 12:08 am (UTC)(link)This is how I feel -- the war-mongering and sabre rattling is getting on my nerves. Can we please stop with the doomsday scenarios?
No nation in the "developed" world (or any of the powerhouses like Russia or India) is ever going to go to war with each other.
At worst, some poor nation in the developing world will bear the burden of a proxy war -- which pisses me right off because it's a useless fucking tactic that inflicts terrible casualties that take decades to recover from for the poor population there. But it's what'll happen if things get heated.

But when it comes to conflicts not directly involving their own countries (such as Russia invading a neighbor), I don't think they're crazy enough to get involved.
