Oh, I brace for that too. Also, when ever someone walks into the street without looking both ways especially if they are arguing, I cringe waiting for them to get hit by a vehicle.

My mother once remarked that daytime soaps never had a scene in a car unless there was going to be an accident. Other types of show aren't like that, but if I realize I'm watching a scene in a car on a show that tends not to do car scenes, I always expect an accident.
