I have never seen one of these before and now I want one. (Ironically, this is one of those things I would probably never end up buying because I would be afraid people were silently judging me for it.)

I knew two guys who had those. Never had a problem with either personally, but one was rude to some of my friends. Other than that, I think their umbrella choice suited their personalities.

I think the umbrellas are kinda corny, and I wouldn't use one myself unless I were aiming for corny.

My sister has one of those. Not only does it have a sword handle, the fabric is this new shtick they have in Japan where as it gets wet a design reveals itself. So when it gets wet the black fabric gets covered with a design of the different daimyo mons.
It is a wonderful and amazing umbrella and you have no sense of humor.
