Weekend and/or Easter Plans?

This will be the first year in Oklahoma that we will have a kid for Easter! Which means an Easter egg hunt and candy. I will also be starting some Spring cleaning this weekend. My sister wants to have a yard sale this summer.

What will you all be doing?

I will be celebrating having the house to myself. My parents are going away for vacation and I'll be alone for the week starting tomorrow. I have a friend who was thinking about coming to visit while they're gone but that didn't work out so instead we're gonna do a drunk phone call tomorrow night.

Being home alone is fantastic. You can walk around pantless and NO ONE CAN STOP YOU!

I am going to a seder for the first time! Which is pretty ridiculous because I've had a Jewish best friend for 18 years. But I am finally going to her family seder!

My Easter plans are: be mad about Fedex being closed on Friday and Monday, because now I won't get my package until a week after they said it would come. Seriously, why the heck are businesses closed Friday and Monday? Those are not holidays! Are they? fuck I don't even know what people do on Good Friday and Good Monday or whatever you call them! Bah humbug or the easter equivalent.

Gonna visit my grandma and my aunt's invited us over for brunch.

If the weather holds up I may mow the lawn 'cuz while I really don't want to I'd rather do it without being told.

Well part of my weekend plans have already happened, sorta, I arrived at the place I'm staying for a week. Tomorrow is the mall trip I mentioned earlier this week, and then the next day, Easter, we'll probably just hang around or do something with my little sister maybe.

Then during the week I'll enjoy being nocturnal while my bro's on night shift.

Easter egg hunt is not a tradition where I'm from, but it sounds super-fun, and I would like to partake one day.

As for me literally all my friends are out of town and I have no relatives close-by, so no Easter stuff. Though I have been invited to friends Easter-dinner next week (had to be moved because of a graduation party), so that's nice.

I'm watching friends' cats, who are the sweetest things ever. Also studying. And trying to get better from a cold.

For Friday I had mowed the lawn, cleaned, dog walk and guests over.

Today I've discovered I'm on my period :/ so quickest dog walk will happen instead of planned long one to a pond to run in. Might build the table that arrived. Play games.

Sunday - POND! Also going to remove debris from garden and the unwanted shrub in backyard. Games, watch how to get away with murder

We'll have dinner with my folks on monday; i'm just spending the weekend with the bf, but he's going to some game event tomorrow I didn't feel like going to, so I'll just zve a lot of me-time.

Today and tomorrow, not a heck of a lot, just enjoying the time off. I do have to go out and pick up some groceries tomorrow as I'll be going to my parent's Sunday and house/pet sitting (2 dogs and a cat) for them through to Thursday. My mum has to go in for training for doing at home dialysis; she and my dad have to go into the city for that, so are staying there as it's a two hour drive one way for them. I'm taking paid personal days from work Tues-Thur (Monday is a holiday for us). Seven glorious days of no work--which is sad since March Break was only a couple weeks ago!

My siblings will also be there on Sunday for Easter dinner. Other than that, no big plans.

My friend who was in the car accident is going to spend the day, and having Easter diner with us. So I've been cleaning. Rearranged some furniture a bit, and my cats are having a crisis over it. It's been an interesting day.

NOT WORKING. I have the entire weekend off and I intend to live it up artwise and foodwise. I have one more bit of sculpting to do for my FMA ponies, and then I'll be ready to airbrush everyone who hasn't gotten their base coat and start sketching up ideas for how to represent armor and automail in paint. I have also promised to make barbecue pork ribs and carrot cake cheesecake for Easter, and there might be raspberry lemon cookies too, if the mood strikes me.

(I am also anon who was waffling about the Renaissance Festival last weekend. I ended up going, and it wasn't as much fun as having someone with me but I still enjoyed it a great deal and bought all kinds of pretty things.)

Aww Easter is such a fun family holiday, way more fun when there's little kids involved.

Tonight was hockey game, tomorrow is errands and Fast and Furious marathon leading up to the new movie and Sunday is brunch with a friend and Easter dinner with my family.

First Grocery shopping to restock our food supply. Early evening I plan on dying eggs with my five year old and while she sleeps I fill some plastic eggs and hide both the plastic and dyed eggs, fill her basket and place the basket of the new baby's next to hers on the table. At seven weeks the baby is really too young for much, but I did get her a cute new outfit and this thing that is a stuffed bunny,security blanket and rattle in one. Big sis is getting stuff for her bath "Fizzies" and soap and also a spring outfit.

On Sunday I'm going out to brunch with my extended family, then spending the day at my mom and dad's house. Looking forward to stories and pictures from my parents and sister's spring break vacation to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon, which I think they just got back from tonight.

Tomorrow I'm going to locals to play some YGO! Then in the evening I'm supposedly getting housework done so I don't have to worry about it on Sunday.

Oh man, I love egg hunts! I introduced a friend to egg hunting when we were in high school. I think we re-hid the eggs three times, just so she could find them again and again...

Otherwise, homework, prep work, and sleep. I'm pretty well dead by the time the weekend rolls around, so it's nice to have a couple extra days to catch up on stuff, this time around.
