I don't see anything wrong with pestering usernames who are a detriment to the community.

That's kind of awful.

why? if it makes them feel unwelcome it improves the community as a whole. it's better to be up front than passive-aggressive or talk behind their backs.

If you disagree with them say you disagree and why.

If you follow them around indiscriminately telling them to die at absolutely whatever they say, then they can ignore you as that anon that hates them personally and anything you say arguing against them is moot because its them you're attacking, not their points.

You're easier to dismiss.

I just hate that some user blanket dismiss anons whenever someone has an issue with them.

It's because of anons like the above who think it's fine.

I've been mistaken for a "hater anon" when I non-insulting disagree with people, because they're people who are so used to anons disagreeing with anything they say that they've started dismissing everyone.

Following people around and insulting anything they say doesn't help anyone at all, even those that disagree.

People dismissing anons because of anon above is the whole reason I got an account - so people would take me seriously when I disagreed with them. It's such a minor, irritating thing because tbh I'd prefer to still be anon. But at least this way I can have serious discussions sometimes instead of being dismissed.

Granted rude anon above is 50% the reason because some users on here are idiots but it's best just to ignore them rather than handing them some fuel.

Nope. It's unkind and bad as a general principle, and it doesn't serve any purpose besides pissing people off. Not to mention that it's hardly an objective fact which users are and aren't a detriment to the community and everyone is hardly likely to agree with your views on the matter.

If you do have a problem with a user, pestering them about it like a little shit is like the least productive way imaginable to deal with it. Go and fucking say what you think the issue is like a goddamn adult, if you think it'll help. Otherwise just don't be a dick.

I feel like if you have a problem with someone and must voice it, you should just come out and say it but keep it to that particular thread. Don't drag it around long past the point where everyone else has moved on and no one but you cares.

But I also think we should all be as respectful as possible, anon or not, because an unpleasant (and hostile) atmosphere is not something that people want to keep coming back to. Plus, common decency.

And who decides who is a detriment to the community anyway? One of the posters that was stalked was perfectly nice and never caused any drama.

I have no issue with anons. Honestly, I'd like the comm a lot less if there weren't anons so I have no problem taking them seriously either, that isn't the issue; it doesn't matter if you have a username or not, if your idea of helping the comm is harassing people I think you should find a new hobby.
