Re: Complain here
Deadlifts are probably the best exercise you can do for a total body workout, and they're generally not that harsh on your legs if you ease into them and only do a few at a time.
That said, I'm not sure exactly why you're avoiding putting stress on your legs. I'd have to know more to be able to tell you exactly what will be harmful and what won't.

Re: Complain here
On the one hand, getting a better muscle base is useful for both losing weight and helping your tendinitis symptoms. On the other hand hypermobility and existing injuries make it dangerous to overdo it.
I'd say do a maximum of 1 set of 5 deadlifts every two days, and gradually work your way up to 10 if you find you can tolerate it. If that's manageable I think you'll find your weight loss efforts will go a lot faster and you'll find yourself able to do more in terms of other leg exercise.

I started it from a book, and, while it certainly doesn't compare to the other types of exercise, I did notice that I gained a liiiittle bit of muscular tone on my arms and legs.
So, it could be a good start to get your blood circulating better and your body parts better oxygenated and eventually get ready for harder exercise?

(Anonymous) 2015-04-06 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)you're welcome!
there is another way it's helped me, personally: I've become way less clumsy! I have a better sense of balance now, I no longer bump into things as often, and I've found myself catching falling objects in the air automatically. And this all started while I was learning like the first 4 or 5 moves out of the sequence
(it takes me like 2 weeks to learn one move, but going slowly doesn't seem to matter)
(Sometimes it makes me feel like a ninja and that's pretty cool :3
(sorry for so many parentheses, I don't know what happened)
