... wooooow. In all honesty, if you HAVE been lurking for a while, then shouldn't you already have the answer to those last two questions? People are just as weird and quirky on the internet as they are in real life, they just express it in different ways. Emoticons and variations on font and capslock or lack thereof replace screaming and hugging and perhaps punching someone in the face. You make do, which gives rise to a lot of the passive-aggressiveness you see around, imo.

Especially that last question - it's not really always that easy, and that has less to do with the internet and more to do with just .. people being people.

That said, I understand a lot of where you're coming from. ): lol internet?

Definitely. I'd consider it "mostly harmless," but then some people are just passive-aggressive because...I don't know. Don't know how that's useful.

I'm just saddened that some people end up feeling bad about fandom--it's supposed to be fun, and some persons make others feel bad for no good reason! Not cool. :
