Not going to harp on you for your opinion or anything, I just find that so hard to believe! There are cosplays out there that encapsulate characters perfectly for me, there are people that look amazingly like the original actors (there was this Jack Sparrow post going around for a while...) and then there's full body-armor where the looks of the people don't even play a role (501st legion anyone?).


I mean, you do you, you don't have to enjoy it by any means, I'm just really perplexed by it! But you really don't have to like it, as long as you can appreciate your friends' effort and craftsmanship (where it applies), I think they won't ask for more :)

Yeah I know! There are soooo many cosplays but I have yet to enjoy a single one of them. i guess it's just because in my head I have a set thing of what these characters look like that when they're translated into cosplay and real people I just feel let down. Idk i've just yet to see a cosplay I liked lmao. they're not for me

i'm not massively into fan art (I'm a fanfic person mostly) but i enjoy it more than cosplay because it doesn't look "real". do you feel me? i don't know, art i'm okay with cos in my head it's another depiction of something. cosplay looks too 'real' and it's jarring seeing characters i like url not how they are in my head and i'm not explaining this too well ha ha. but i am picky about a lot of fan art lmao oops
