And you don't even need an ice cream machine.

Get a pint of heavy whipping cream (16oz), whip to soft peaks (I sometimes go a little past to almost firm peaks), add a can of sweetened condensed milk (14oz), whip until fully combined, viola ice cream base (cream, milk, sugar). Then fold in whatever you like for flavor. And freeze for at least a couple of hours, though overnight works best for me.

For cookies and cream, add Oreo cookies (some crushed to crumbs, some broken in bigger pieces). You can also mix vanilla extract with the base before the cookies, but I like the very creamy taste of the base with the Oreos.

For French vanilla, add vanilla bean seeds scraped from the pod and some vanilla extract.

For mint chocolate chip, add mint extract and mini chocolate chips (and a few drops of green food coloring if you like).

For coffee/espresso, take a couple of tablespoons of cream out before you start whipping and dissolve instant coffee or espresso in it. (Or you can add a couple of strongly brewed and cooled coffee or espresso, but be careful about adding too much diluting liquid as it can make the final product very soft).

Other things to add: caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, malt powder, nuts, candy.
