No wait I have a better one. (ARACHNOPHOBES BE WARNED)
My first thought was fleas. I have no idea why they'd be in my house, but that's what it looked like. I saw more the further I walked in, so I was like "wtf how do I have a full on infestation overnight!?".
So I decide to get closer and maybe try to squish them, and that's when I realise they're not fleas. They're the tiniest little black jumping spiders I have seen in my life. Oh my gosh they are so tiny and so cute. I had an adult (mother?) in the bathroom a few days ago and I moved her outside, but I guess she left me a surprise.
So far I've seen 8 maybe. I can't get a picture because they don't stay still.

Re: I GOT PICTURES!!!
Stupid cute spiderpons.
Re: I GOT PICTURES!!!
Also pls ignore my gross yellowy tile grout. I think they mixed beach sand with it to go with the sea-themed tiles. Thank you, 90s.
Re: I GOT PICTURES!!!
Why... how..?? But especially WHY?!
Re: I GOT PICTURES!!!
No seriously. I lived in a place that had rocks, shells, and beach glass SET INTO THE CONCRETE STAIRS. Not outside stairs either. This was the main staircase inside the house.
I think shells are pretty, but have you ever stepped on them with bare feet? Ouch. Some of the glass wasn't even smooth. I think they ran out of beach glass and just smashed some beer bottles.
We are a classy and cultured people.
Re: I GOT PICTURES!!!
At least they're not inside?
Nah seriously though we over do it with the seashell decorations.
Re: I GOT PICTURES!!!
I think I'm just over it. Sand is the devil. Sometimes things found on the beach have a smell.
Outside is a good place for them!

(Anonymous) 2015-04-24 02:44 am (UTC)(link)yesterday i learned that this country also apparently has a plant with a neurotoxin so incredibly painful that when one guy accidentally swallowed a leaf, he shot himself. the sensation is described as being like doused in acid and electrocuted at the same time.
because OF COURSE we get poisonous plants on top of everything else.
Re: No wait I have a better one. (ARACHNOPHOBES BE WARNED)
Car huntsmans though. I am not a fan of those. They're sneaky and they want you to die.
Gympie Gympie? It's one thing I wouldn't touch if you paid me. I've accidentally touched regular stinging nettle so many times and it's always bad.

(Anonymous) 2015-04-24 05:12 am (UTC)(link)I'm not exactly sure how you'd remove it from your garden, but it'd probably involve a flamethrower and salting the earth.
Re: No wait I have a better one. (ARACHNOPHOBES BE WARNED)
You burn it. Stinging hairs become airborne. You die.
You pay someone else to do it. They go mad from the pain and stab you with pruning shears. You die.
You move to another country. Someone smuggles them in because they're ~exotic. You die.
