I think there are people who say, "tell me your weird triggers and I will tag them" which is really considerate, but it's also voluntary, and I wouldn't be surprised if there are now people expecting people to do it by default (maybe even people they don't follow).

I find that mindset strange, because those people might not even know what to tag!

I do wish most people would tag basic things like fandom or subject (frankly so I can look through their backlog of posts easier), but if they don't want to for whatever reason that's their decision. The world will go on, and you don't have to follow them if it bothers you that much.

Tagging is nice, but I don't think it's realistic to expect everyone to do it.

I think it's less of going to someone's random blog and shouting "WHY DID YOU TAG MOTORCYCLES? I AM SO TRIGGERED RIGHT NOW YOU INSENSITIVE SHITLORD" (though...does that happen? it might...) and more of following someone and then getting mad because that person doesn't want to tag every little thing that bugs you and acting like you're entitled to it.

I agree on tags in general, more is better because it makes individual blogs and the site more organized, but ultimately as long as you're covering your basic common triggers, then it's any given person's decision how to run their blog.

Yea, IA with that. If you have a problem with the way someone tags (or doesn't tag) you can bring it up (hopefully in a friendly and respectful manner), but that doesn't necessarily mean that the person is going to change the way they do things.

I follow a couple people who tag nothing. Not a big fan of that because it makes it impossible to search their posts, but I still like their posts enough to go along with it. That isn't going to be the case for some people, and that's okay.
