That's odd, I'd have pegged Bucky as a WASP. Steve could be Jewish, I guess. Or part Jewish.

There are such things as Jews in Ireland. It's less statisically likely, sure, but even at the era in question, it was possible.

Yeeeeah, James Buchanan Barnes doesn't exactly sound like a Jewish name. He's also named after a terrible terrible wishy-washy president. There are way better people for your parents to name you after, Bucky.

...But there is literally no way Steve is Jewish. I know some people are headcanoning Howard Stark as Jewish (with some references he made in Agent Carter), but I don't know enough about Jewish culture to confirm if it's a good theory.
