I have found just about everything recced on the

mcugen comm to be excellent: I believe the most recent one I read from there was Inherited Characteristics by Domenika Marzione.

It's 1986, the Sox are going to the World Series, and sixteen-year-old Tony Stark has just gotten himself arrested for trying to sell nukes to the bad guys.

Middle-aged Peggy Carter puts the smackdown on teenaged Tony Stark. Absolutely superb.

All That Matter series An AU where Odin saw Loki was heading for trouble and took steps to save him. That story and other related ones make up this series.

Like Today Never Happened
No one should be able to just steal Captain America's health. The Avengers are all agreed on that. And yet there Steve is: stuck in a hospital bed with a whole slew of medical issues - and nothing about this is remotely okay.
They've got to make this right. They've got to fix this. It's just going to take a while.

Steve really needs a hobby, since modern television shows baffle him, but Clint keeps bringing him DVDs and pizza.

keep your heart around (you might need it someday) Tony Stark finds himself as a de-aged Loki Odinsson's temporarily designated parental figure, through no fault of his own. Responsible superhero co-parenting doesn't just involve feeding, housing and clothing a tiny Asgardian, it involves rubber ducks, transdimensional vortexes at bathtime, fruit parties, pictures of robots that draw other robots and hoverboards (eventually), as the team keep Loki safe while they look for a solution.

Amateur Theatrics In which Thor’s primary problem-solving method (a mighty blow from Mjolnir) fails to have the desired effect on a magical artifact, and his secondary method (a mightier blow from Mjolnir) proves to be actively disastrous.

Brothers in a Strange Land series Thor brings Loki and the Tesseract to Asgard and returns to Earth only after promising to return for Loki's trial when the time comes. In the meantime he tries to navigate Earth's foreign customs and not kill his teammates who insist on treating him like a small child rather than the god and prince that he is.

No Magic Would Save Me Once upon a time, an angel with the unlikely name of Pepper came to the circus, and took Clint away.

I'm too lazy to go through and link specific ones, but for anyone who still cares about SPN, everything kalliel (on LJ) has written is amazing and well worth a read.

Anarhicas is one of the few good, canonverse writers in the SnK fandom. I heartily recommend all their work.

It Was Probably The Pudding (http://archiveofourown.org/works/953538) - MCU. I'm a sucker for hurt/comfort and pseudo-families, so this fic hit that right on the head. Peter Parker joins the Avengers only to get taken down by a mysterious illness, and the team bands together to make sure he's okay.

Loki meets Coulson again, ends up having various kinds of adventures. Good if you like Loki but not so much all the cutsie things people do when writing him. Mostly gets the crap kicked out of him here, but usually for his own fault.
