NCIS (Spoilers)

(Anonymous) 2015-05-10 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I hate when shows kill off characters for ratings/sweeps, and NCIS is terrible with this. Example: Franks' death. He still comes back as a ghost and the episode he died in was so lackluster; utterly pointless to kill him off.

But for most hated deaths, I have to go with Ned or Langer. I adored Langer's character and I was so angry that they considered him a bad guy after he died. Even when they figured out the truth, I don't think he ever got the kind of vindication in the narrative that I wanted. At least his death served the narrative.

Ned's death is still very fresh so it might change but it's another instance of killing off a character just to kill him off. I knew as soon as he was brought back that he would be killed. It's really frustrating because only now do we get to meet his mom and we're never going to see the two of them interact. :(
