Japanese natto (fermented soy beans?). I mean, I'm vegetarian so soy stuff is petty regular to me, and when I think "gross food" I mostly wonder whether or not I can even eat it, vegetarianism considered. And I don't find the taste that bad? In a maki sushi roll it's nice.

But yeah notoriously loathed food, by gaijin and even many Japanese people, lol

Liver, blood pancakes, Brussels sprouts and raw fish. They aren't really considered gross here, but it depends on the culture, I guess.

Raw vegetables, tofu, tons of hippie foods like kefir or kombucha that people just assume are nasty.

I also like bitter things and foods with slimy textures, which are often considered "gross".

Salt licorice! It's popular in some places, but definitely not where I am. 'tis a pity.

Spinach. Spinach is one of my favorite foods ever.

Seriously, mince some garlic, roast it in a saucepan with a little bit of vegetable oil, and then dump in some raw spinach leaves (baby spinach, preferably). Add a bit of salt and stir until the leaves are completely wilted, but no longer than that. Don't use any water whatsoever at any time. Then sprinkle on some lemon juice and eat.

Literally one of my top five favorite foods.

Spam. Hotdogs in general, even the cheap ones. Brussel sprouts, because when they're roasted with olive oil, salt, pepper and minced garlic, they're heavenly.

I have a soft spot for some disgustingly artificial flavourings, like artificial cherry, woodruff, strawberry. Most people I know hate those.

Pig's feet and tripe. My mom makes this delicious soup with them and garbanzo beans. I used to be freaked out by it as a kid but when I got old enough to give it a try, omg.

Anchovies.

Oh, and does anyone remember that old board game from the 90s that was basically PG-rated truth or dare? One of the dares was to eat a pickle and mustard sandwich, which was supposed to be disgusting. I thought it tasted awesome.

Ah, man, mustard is my condiment of choice.

Black licorice.

There are plenty of products, but a lot of people seem to hate it. But I love it. Pastels are my favorite, but I also really like black jelly beans, Black Jack gum, and candy coal.
