Someone, probably Riddler-anon themselves, is trying to make 'Riddler-anon' a thing where they put random kanji in secrets

Problem is literally nobody notices or cares, so someone is trying very hard to be mysterious and failing miserably

With a high chance that they'll flounce in a week or two crying about how F!S has no sense of humor for not understanding their brilliance because it's our fault, of course.

It's not very cute and I think you've overestimating the amount of investment F!S has for them, but if you insist on keeping on with these secrets then at least realize that compressing alreadly small kanji into .jpg or .png will make them virtually unreadable. Of course if you make them readable then there's no "mystery".

how did I not see this happen. I'm not riddler-anon. I'm really not. I'm just a stupid kid who's excited that for once their skill-set could be of use... and I wonder about precisely the unreadable-part. because in one case apparently it was readable (I guess I didn't see all riddler-anon-posts), though a bit awkward.
I know there's probably no big secret behind it, but is there ever? I mean, we've all tried guessing who mystery-pairingXYZ was, or which movie was behind vaguereferencezyx once in a while, so why not indulge them for a bit?

We have precious few decent secrets these days at the best of times, and now you want to enable some idiot into making even more irrelevant crap that makes people think this place isn't worth bothering with?

Looking back over them, I think the first one, about most heinious crime in fandom, that used a kanji brush, wasn't necessarily done by the same person as all the others.

I think someone else noticed people getting in to decyphering the kanji brush, and thought "ha ha why don't I put kanji in my secrets and see if people think there's a riddle to be solved."

That's my theory.

Let's humour you:

From what I could see, it looked more like random google translate and, in the case of the completely unreadable one, like random snippets from an encyclopaedia article. Also, if the person in question actually wants people to spend time deciphering their ~secret messages~ they should think about creating their secrets in a less crappy way. Because nobody is really going to spend a lot of time on deciphering possibly nonsense messages in mediocre fandom secrets if they have to jump through half a dozen hoops first.

damn, why are people so negative about this "call"... even if the riddle doesn't seem terribly deep. OP might just want to make a community thing out of it.

I guess the moment you make even the most subtle command for action, people get annoyed because they don't want to be told to do something.

If you're adamant to want to keep doing this despite clear lack of interest, then put them in CG because 'puzzles' aren't fandom-related in the slightest. It may also benefit you to learn Japanese as opposed to how to use Google Translate and Copy-and-Paste, learn Photoshop, and learn the difference between cute and clever and downright obnoxious. You're the latter, btw. Because it's pretty obvious you can't tell.

It's not the command for action, it's them beating the dead horse that no one noticed. They keep bringing it up and refuse to accept that people just don't care. People don't like being reminded of something they already said they don't care about or find interesting, that's normal.

Frankly, I think if anyone in this thread is Riddler!Anon, it's the ones adamantly insisting nobody is interested. I and at least two other anons are intrigued.
