The Double standards are what gets to me

(Anonymous) 2015-05-21 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Like...Anthony Mackie says "make daddy a sandwich" (in all seriousness and he never apologized...) and yet, when SJWs make their list about how "problematic" the actors/actresses are, they'll include something like Evans going along with Renner even though he made a legitimate apology.

And Mackie isn't even included as one of the problematic people.

SJWs are SUCH fucking hypocrites.

It's problematic to call black people out on stuff that.

Re: The Double standards are what gets to me

(Anonymous) 2015-05-21 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
It's funny because they LOVE to shit on white women and don't hesitate to call them out.

Like, I get white women have white privilege. But a black guy like Mackie, even if he doesn't have white privilege, still has MALE privilege and when he talks about how his woman should "make daddy a sandwich" and just keeps going on and on about it, you'd think it's obviously something to call out.

Rather than Evans who, at worst, went along with Renner and then apologized.

But NOPE.

Black people can do no wrong in the eyes of SJWs

They dindu nuffin!

embarrassing

It really gets to me.

I remember there was a gif going around of a black guy making fun of a white woman for how she was dancing at a concert and the guy (a comedian) basically said, "LOL look at this white bitch dancing."

A lot of people got upset and said it was racist (which I don't agree with - it's not racist IMO) and so SJWs were reblogging it to point out that you can't be racist against white people. But NO ONE seemed to think that it was pretty fucking misogynistic and mean for a famous comedian to record some random woman dancing, make fun of her, and call her a bitch.

And when I pointed out the misogyny to the SJW crowd they just said that he was joking.

For fuck's sake, have some consistency. Misogyny is still misogyny, even if it's a black man directing it at a white woman.

Oh I think that was one of the Wayne's brothers.

I think what got me was that one gifset of a video that was going around about how when women grab there purses tight around guys and how it was racist, and it shows him beating her up for it but then says he didn't or it's what he could do and it'd be ok. It was extremely fucked up.

Reminds me that on Tumblr there was a post of a tweet where a black guy made a point about racism and a woman replied with a (stupid and out of line, yes) comment saying pretty much "you're overreacting." The guy's reply was "You look like your dog." (The lady's icon was her with her dog.) No, don't mind that it was sexist, not clever, and there were so many real ways he could have told her she was wrong. Tumblr thought his comment was HI LA RI OUS.

There are a lot of double standards amongst the SJW crowd. They are all narrow minded hypocrites and slacktivists.

The worst part is they NEVER research the stuff they reblog. They just reblog stuff that is heavily slanted and only shows one side of the story or they stuff they don't understand the full context. They try to start witch hunts based on misinformation.

Re: The Double standards are what gets to me

(Anonymous) 2015-05-22 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
The "random woman" was (well-established, locally famous and wealthy) Australian singer Delta Goodrem who thought it was hilarious and posted it on her twitter. So you're kind of missing the point about meanness there.

I remember there was this one post going around with a black kids hands blurred out and they were acting like it was so offensive, when in reality if a kid is throwing gang signs it's going to get blurred out on the news no matter who is making them.
At least that's how the news around my area does it.

Marvel SJW's did have a break down after Mackie made this comment, and they still haven't forgave him. At this point I think they are just hoping Sebastian Stan doesn't make any stupid comments because he's the last one left that's ~unproblamatic~. Maybe Chris Pratt too but I'm not sure.

I think that problematic tumblr stopped updating so that's why he's not on a list. Unless there's some other list somewhere on tumblr.

Re: The Double standards are what gets to me

(Anonymous) 2015-05-21 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I saw ONE post about Mackie and people have forgotten it by now. It is very annoying how they go on and on about how scared they are someone might do something problematic.

Re: The Double standards are what gets to me

(Anonymous) 2015-05-22 12:01 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe we just look at different places? Because where I look they were pretty pissed, haven't forgotten it, and they hoped that he would become the reboot Capn' once Evan's contract runs out here soon.

Re: The Double standards are what gets to me

(Anonymous) 2015-05-21 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
No, what I'm talking about is when Avengers Age of Ultron was about to come out, they were all spreading around a list of problematic things the actors had said.

And it really pissed me off that they didn't include Mackie when a lot of the actors (like Evans) have said things that are so much more minor in comparison AND apologized for it.

They gave Mackie a free pass compared how they shit on everyone else.

Re: The Double standards are what gets to me

(Anonymous) 2015-05-21 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I think all the hate for sjws is kinda stupid, but I gotta agree.
Hate the actors all you want, fine. But don't purposely try to ruin everyone's fun and shame them from seeing the movie/their favorite actors.

I guess I don't follow tumblr marvel tag religiously enough then? Could have been because I was avoiding AoU spoilers at the time and missed it.

I just know the places I frequent and yeah they are still pissed and didn't give him a free pass. Just because a supposed list of all SJW wrong didn't include it doesn't mean everyone gave him a free pass.

I hate how everyone in the MCU fandom forgets about Mark Ruffalo, who's a genuinely likable guy who's gunning for green energy and equal rights. He's such a sweetheart in his interviews, too.

Re: The Double standards are what gets to me

(Anonymous) 2015-05-21 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope. He is problematic too. He used the word gypsy repeatedly on the uhhhh that British talk show where people sit on couches. MARK RUFFALO IS DEAD TO THEM!

Uh, did you ever stop to think that some people may not actually know what certain celebrities have said or done? You can't expect everyone, yes even the dreaded "sjw!!" to know everything on every celebrity.
Also lol people stopped harping on Chris Evans when he officially apologized. A lot of people were still mad at Renner because his apology seemed half-assed and he continued to call BW a slut in another interview.
Like, this isn't hard. :/
Everyone's giant hate bonner for sjw is so ridiculously obnoxious and hilarious lol.

Re: The Double standards are what gets to me

(Anonymous) 2015-05-21 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Really? They know about an offhand comment made at the beginning of an interview. But a published interview that was put out and featured a whole thing about how a woman should make her man a sandwich, is somehow unknown.

Also, a stupid joke seems to be pretty silly in comparison to what seems to be an actual belief of how you think men and women should be doing.

Re: The Double standards are what gets to me

(Anonymous) 2015-05-21 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
No, they definitely knew -- I sent them anon messages about Mackie.

They ignored me.

Surprise surprise.

All I did was send them links to articles describing what he said and suggest that they add him to the list.

NOPE.

I think they know, seeing as I only found out about Mackie's thing from meltdown posts appearing on my dash in the first place.

but mackie did get shit for what he said, saying but "some list..." doesn't makie it not true. i think the anti-SJWs are every bit as selectively outraged as the SJWs themselves.
