What are you looking forward to?

[personal profile] kaijinscendre 2015-05-29 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
What are you looking forward to? Something personal or the release of a movie/film/game/book? Something soon or something a year away?

In the media, I am looking forward to Ant-Man and Jurassic World. I expect they will both be very fun movies to watch. I am vaguely excited for The Martian because I loved the book (and I learned Sebastian Stan is going to be in it).

Also, I learned today that a podcast story (We're Alive) I enjoyed thoroughly is going to have a sequel focusing on a different group of people. If it matches the story and production of the first series, it will be spectacular.

In personal news, I can't wait for my sisters' birthday party in August. We still have no idea where we are going BUT I have already picked out a cake and what presents I will be getting them.

I got together with some friends last night and it was really great and there's talk of making it a weekly thing, so I'm looking forward to next week and finding out if making it a regular thing will actually pan out.

I'm also finally working on getting my drivers license and my road test is next month and I'm looking forward to being able to drive on my own with no one watching my every move.

I hope you can get them motivated to go out every week.

Yeah...I still don't have a license and I am way to old not to. :(

For movies, I want to see Spy. I have no idea why since I don't usually like comedies and it's probably not going to be very good but I hope that it is. Also, Inside Out. Super excited for that.

Personally, we're going to our cabin in July and I'm getting pumped for that. I've already planned my reading for the trip. Although, our favorite spot to eat burned down last year so it'll be weird not to go there this year.

Oh yeah, Inside Out looks great. I hope my nephew is old enough to sit through it. Though, a local theater does shows just for kids so they can run around and such.

Ah, have fun on your vacation! What are you planning on reading?

I've seen Spy. I though it was pretty funny, FWIW. Not as funny as Pitch Perfect 2 (which was surprisingly really good), but still OK.

I was also surprised by the amount of gore in Spy. It gets full-on for a comedy. So if that's not your thing, you might not enjoy it as much.

I think Spy may surprise you. I never planned to see it, had no expectations for it to be good, and laughed all the way.

As opposed to Tomorrowland, which I was super hyped for and in turn incredibly disappointed by. Now I know I was right all along in thinking that Brad Bird wasn't all that.

I'm looking forward to Macbeth. I'm not sure when it's coming out, but Sean Harris is in it and that's all I need.

My parents are coming to visit in August! I'm taking them to Greenville.

Oh man, I've be looking forward to Macbeth if I had anyone to go see it with. Most of the info I've heard about it so far has been positive.

What will yall be doing in Greenville?

Being done with exams for this semester. Only 10 more days!

Then travelling to Turkey (Istanbul) and Bulgaria during the summer holiday.

I'm also sort of looking forward to "Until Dawn" comes out in August, as I think it looks quite interesting. I'm such a wuss when it comes to video games though, but I want to try it at least!

Huzzah on exams being over! Also, have fun traveling (I wish I could). I hope Until Dawn is a good horror game, those have been lacking these days.

Jurassic World, I just want daft stuff with dinosaurs, that is all.

And in about a month I'm going to Alton Towers with my sister-in-law for a girls holiday thing.

That is a theme park? It looks pretty awesome.

Nothing. That's kind of a bummer.

(It's not like a 'my life is empty and nothing brings me joy' kind of nothing. Just 'wow, there are no interesting things on my horizon right now.')

JURASSIC WORLD IN A FEW WEEKS AND GETTING IMAX TICKETS FOR IT.

Me and the SO plan on taking a short weekend trip to the next major city over, which is about 4 hours away, to see it. I'll have to get off work as early as I can that Saturday morning, get home, get cleaned up, pack a bag for some clothes for the weekend, and sleep as he drives to the city (he'd have gotten some sleep as he gets home from work at like...7 pm. So plenty to be able to drive where i work from 10 pm to as late 5/6 am. i would need sleeps).

NEEDLESS TO SAY I CAN'T WAIT!!!

JW is definitely a big screen kind of movie. We will probably go to a theater 2 hours away to see it. So you are going to make a weekend of it?

Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom full version! TOUHOU 15 IS COMING, PEOPLE!!!

The demo for the game is already out, and I'm already impatient for the music remixes from the game music. If there's one thing I'm sure of about Touhou fandom, it's that they can make "meh" music EPIC.

I can't think of any summer blockbusters I'm dying to see, but I cannot wait for Mockingjay 2. I just heart that series so much!

At the end of next month I'm spending several days in Chicago to visit a close friend! We're planning on going to a couple of museums, an arboretum, doing some shopping/cooking and just chilling. It's gonna be awesome.
