For movies, I want to see Spy. I have no idea why since I don't usually like comedies and it's probably not going to be very good but I hope that it is. Also, Inside Out. Super excited for that.

Personally, we're going to our cabin in July and I'm getting pumped for that. I've already planned my reading for the trip. Although, our favorite spot to eat burned down last year so it'll be weird not to go there this year.

Oh yeah, Inside Out looks great. I hope my nephew is old enough to sit through it. Though, a local theater does shows just for kids so they can run around and such.

Ah, have fun on your vacation! What are you planning on reading?

There was a computer game called King's Quest back in the 80s/90s and I just learned recently that they made 3 tie-in books. I managed to get 2 for cheap (the last must be super rare because it cost like $75, which baffles me - is there a really big market for old King's Quest books?). I'll be reading the 2 I got.

Have fun reading it! Have you looked online for a PDF copy of it?

I did. There were a few places where you have to pay money for the pdf but they looked a little dodgy to me. If the other two books are more amazing than I can stand, I might consider it.

Yeah, I just poked around some sites and could not find it. :(

I've seen Spy. I though it was pretty funny, FWIW. Not as funny as Pitch Perfect 2 (which was surprisingly really good), but still OK.

I was also surprised by the amount of gore in Spy. It gets full-on for a comedy. So if that's not your thing, you might not enjoy it as much.

I don't actually watch comedies at all (mostly action movies actually). By gore, do you mean action-movie level or horror-movie level?

Did you find the characters likeable?

DA

Action movie-level, I'd say. Personally only one scene really squicked me, and only because it hit a bit of a phobia I have about... hands and impalement.

The characters are awesome and hilarious, and if you haven't liked the roles MM has usually played up till now, this one is a breath of fresh air.

I think Spy may surprise you. I never planned to see it, had no expectations for it to be good, and laughed all the way.

As opposed to Tomorrowland, which I was super hyped for and in turn incredibly disappointed by. Now I know I was right all along in thinking that Brad Bird wasn't all that.
