This whole show could have been written by cats. It's how they mate. And a lot of other animals too. Guess we aren't so different. Judging from the number of women who like watching this kind of stuff you wonder what primal impulses lead us to be fascinated by the violent sexual fantasy. I personally don't get it (nor do I get Shades) but there must be something there that drives the human species in this way.

I like GOT because I like the twisty plot and the memorable characters. The sexual violence I'm not crazy about, but I can deal with it as part of the overall grim tone.

The show has been overdoing it lately, though.
