Honestly... I agree. I never watched any of those movies growing up for one reason or another, and after finally seeing at least Labyrinth and Princess Bride as an adult, I found them to be a little overrated.

Princess Bride, though, was genuinely clever and amusing at some moments. I'll give it that. Labyrinth I found to be super tedious outside of one or two musical numbers (also, Sarah/Jareth kind of squicks me, and I can't quite figure out why), but I appreciate the puppetry none the less. I guess maybe, after hearing all the hype from everyone I knew for years, I was expecting more...?

Or maybe it's because I'm very much more a science-fiction person than I am fantasy. I dunno.
